Pastors Alfredo Ruiz, Evangelist Lyndon Longoria,
Julio Benavides, and Missionary Bill Waldrop
What a joy and blessing given to me by the Lord to be able to go to Mexico and preach Christ. I have a tremendous burden and prayer request to ask you to join with me.
Pastor Alfredo Ruiz leads a church, Calvary Baptist, that was birth out of a Tent Revival I preached in March 2002. They run about 25-30 each Sunday. They are still meeting in his home and are completely out of room. I know I preached there this February 1 and two precious adults gave their hearts to Jesus. I have raised $10,000.00 to build the church but our need is for a piece of property. I thought we might have found 3 lots ( 30’ X 60’ ) for $12,000 but it turned out it was already spoken for. We know of three more lots 30’ X 80’ for sale for $12,500. This size of property would enable us to not only build the church , but also a Bible Institute to train men and women for ministry.
Pastor Julio has now taken over the Maranatha Baptist Church that Missionary Bill Waldrop planted and Bro. Bill will be helping the Calvary Baptist Church to become an indigenous church.
Maybe you would like to help some other way not only praying with us, but through a financial gift. If you would, please designate your gift for the Mexico church property.
I have plans to continue Tent Revival Crusades in Mexico and see more churches planted .
I will keep you updated of the progress. I know it is the will of God to purchase the property to see His church go forth.
Thank you for praying with me.

REVIVAL REPORT
Bro. Lyndon, is the kind of Evangelist that can step all over your toes and make you love every minute of it. He has definitely found how to "speak the truth in love".
I have been honored to have him with us twice in my ministry, first in a Bible Conference and secondly to recently do a revival for our church. The first service on Sunday morning was the first fruits of what was to come. We had four people come forward for salvation and to follow Christ in baptism. Two of which were adults. Sunday night we had one additional person making a profession of faith. Monday night no one came forward and as I prayed asking God if He had finished what he was doing, I felt him say just wait.. On Tuesday night we had a teenage young lady who had been coming come forward for salvation. She came from a very troubled home and we were thrilled to see her come forward for salvation.
On Wednesday night we combined our Awana program with the service, by having our children provide the special music. This gave Bro. Lyndon the challenge of keeping over 100 children, youth and adults listening and paying attention. He rose to the occasion exceptionally with a very clear gospel presentation. As the invitation began people began to come forward, soon our counselors were swamped with people making clear decisions for Christ. Final total later that night indicated some 35+ professions of faith (yes 35!) had been recorded. Many of which I personally talked. Many have already made arrangements to follow Christ in baptism the next week and others in the days ahead.
In addition to these 41 professions of faith we had two adults rededicate their lives to Christ. Both of which we had been praying for some time.
I recommend Bro. Lyndon to any church that wants revival and who wants God to do a work within their body. One warning, if you invite him, you better be ready for God to open the windows of heaven and pour out a blessing on you and your church.
We already are rescheduling Bro. Lyndon to return to our church in anticipation of what God would have for us then.

The Value of Time
To realize the value of one year:
Ask a student who has failed a final exam.
To realize the value of one month:
Ask a mother who has given birth to a premature baby.
To realize the value of one week:
Ask an editor of a weekly newspaper.
To realize the value of one hour:
Ask the lovers who are waiting to meet.
To realize the value of one minute:
Ask a person who has missed the train, bus or plane.
To realize the value of one second:
Ask a person who has survived an accident.
To realize the value of a millisecond:
Ask the person who has won a silver medal in the Olympics.
Time waits for no one. Treasure every moment you have.
You will treasure it even more when you can share it with someone special
THE BIBLE
"This
Book contains the mind of God, the state of man, the way of salvation, the doom
of sinners, and the happiness of believers. It contains light to direct you,
food to support you and comfort to cheer you.
It
is the traveler's map, the pilgrim's staff, the pilot's compass, the soldier's
sword, and the Christian's charter. It is a mine of wealth, a paradise of glory,
and a river of pleasure.
Its
doctrines are holy, its precepts are binding, its histories are true, and its
decisions are immutable. Here paradise is restored, heaven is opened, and the
gates of hell are disclosed. Christ is its grand subject, our good is its
design, and the glory of God is its end.
It
is given to you in life, will be opened at the judgment, and will be remembered
forever. It should fill the memory, rule the heart, and guide the feet. It
involves the highest responsibility, will reward the greatest labor, and
condemns all who trifle with its sacred contents.
Read
it to be wise, believe it to be safe, and practice it to be holy. Read it
slowly, frequently, and prayerfully.
This
Book, the Book of Books, the Book of God, the Bible - is the revelation of God
to man!"

57 cents
A sobbing little girl stood near a small church from which she had been turned away because it was too crowded. "I can't go to Sunday School?" she sobbed to the pastor as he walked by. Seeing her shabby, unkempt appearance, the pastor guessed the reason and, taking her by the hand, took her inside and found a place for her in the Sunday school class. The child was so touched that she went to bed that night thinking of the children who have no place to worship Jesus. Some two years later, this child lay dead in one of the poor tenement buildings and the parents called for the kindhearted pastor, who had befriended their daughter, to handle the final arrangements. As her poor little body was being moved, a worn and crumpled purse was found which seemed to have been rummaged from some trash dump. Inside was found 57 cents and a note scribbled in childish handwriting which read, "This is to help build the little church bigger so more children can go to Sunday school." For two years she had saved for this offering of love. When the pastor tearfully read that note, he knew instantly what he would do. Carrying this note and the cracked, red pocketbook to the pulpit, he told the story of her unselfish love and devotion. He challenged his deacons to get busy and raise enough money for the larger building. But the story does not end there! A newspaper learned of the story and published it. It was read by a Realtor who offered them a parcel of land worth many thousands. When told that the church could not pay so much, he offered it for 57 cents. Church members made large donations. Checks came from far and wide. Within five years the little girl's gift had increased to $250,000.00--a huge sum for that time (near the turn of the century). Her unselfish love had paid large dividends. When you are in the city of Philadelphia, look up Temple Baptist Church, with a seating capacity of 3,300 and Temple University, where hundreds of students are trained. Have a look, too, at the Good Samaritan Hospital and at a Sunday School building which houses hundreds of Sunday school children, so that no child in the area will ever need to be left outside during Sunday school time. In one of the rooms of this building may be seen the picture of the sweet face of the little girl whose 57 cents, so sacrificially saved, made such remarkable history. Alongside of it is a portrait of her kind pastor, Dr. Russell H. Conwell, author of the book, Acres of Diamonds. A true story, which goes to show WHAT GOD, CAN DO with 57 cents.
Don't Forget (Easter)
A man was going down a street when in a store window he saw a very beautiful picture of the crucifixion. As he gazed spellbound at the vividly pictured story, he suddenly became conscious that at his side stood a young boy. The boy, too, was gazing at the picture, and his tense expression made the man know that "The Crucifixion" had really gripped the eager little soul. Touching the boy on the shoulder, the man said, "Sonny, what does it mean?" "Doncha know?" he answered, his face full of the marvel of the man's ignorance. "That there man is Jesus, an' them others is Roman soldiers, an' the woman what's cryin' is His mother, an'" he added, "they killed 'im!"
The man did not want to move from in front of that impressive piece of artwork but he had other things he had to do, so he turned and walked away. In a few moments he heard footsteps on the street behind him, and there came rushing up the boy. "Say, mister," he exclaimed breathlessly, "I forgot to tell you, but He rose again!" See: 1 Cor 15:3-8
